KAH-Lakeville just completed another pack-a-thon on Saturday, April 14. Our goal was to pack 65,000 meals and we went above and beyond, packing over 67,000 meals! This brings our total meals packed for 2012 to just over 105,000. Praise God! Thanks to all of you who came out and packed with us!
Flood Victims Fed by KAH-Lakeville Food!
Our latest shipment of food has made it through customs and is feeding kids in critical need in several places in Honduras. Food packets were sent to be distributed by Iglesia Gran Comisión of La Ceiba, San Pedro Sula, Danli, Comayagua, and Choluteca.
The community of Danli was hit by major flooding just last Wednesday, August 18, with over 80 homes destroyed and four fatalities. Two rising rivers destroyed seven bridges in the town and several residents stated that the damage is worse than what was sustained after Hurricane Mitch in 1998.
Over 2,000 people are in shelters today in Danli, and our representative says that every one of them will be eating food packed and shipped by Kids Against Hunger-Lakeville!
